This four-part webinar series offers a comprehensive and practical guide to clinical governance in the digital age. Designed for clinicians, health service leaders, and digital health professionals, the series builds progressively from core governance principles through to future-focused strategy. Beginning with the foundations of digital clinical governance and data stewardship, the series moves through regulatory accountability and the governance of AI, before turning to the real-world impact of digital tools on patient safety, equity, and inclusion. The series concludes by looking ahead — exploring how patients and communities can shape digital health services, and how organisations can scale and sustain innovation responsibly. Taken together, the four sessions provide a complete framework for understanding, implementing, and future-proofing governance across digital and AI-enabled health care.

Join us for a two-hour webinar exploring the foundations of digital clinical governance. This session will focus on how strong governance structures and responsible data practices underpin safe, well-managed health services. Dive into critical topics such as accountability for digital clinical risk, aligning clinical and digital governance structures, and the role of clinical leadership in digital transformation. The session also establishes the data fundamentals every organisation needs: data quality in clinical decision-making, information governance, privacy and confidentiality, consent and data sharing, interoperability across care settings, and cybersecurity as a patient safety issue. A highly practical webinar, the session will have a mix of presentations and interactive case studies.

This session will focus on the external standards, compliance requirements, and assurance mechanisms that organisations must navigate. Dive into critical topics such as clinical safety standards for digital systems, data protection compliance, digital maturity assessments, and structured approaches to investigating and learning from incidents involving digital technologies.
